Tips on How to Replace Purex Cf 67.5 Filter

Keeping a swimming pool clean and clear is simple if you use a perfect filter cartridge. Those filters won't be effective, though, unless you keep them clean and replace them regularly. Follow these steps to replace a swimming pool's Purex Cf 67.5 Filter Cartridge:

1. Turn the pump off at the breaker box with the switch or fuse controlling it to eliminate the risk of electrical shock.
   

2. Close any valves to avoid flooding if the pump sits below the water level of the pool. Locate the air release valve and bleed out all of the air pressure from the pump and tank.


3. Access the filter tank and remove the cartridge by pulling it firmly but carefully from its seating inside the pump.


4. Check any gaskets or rings on the Purex Cf 67.5 Filter tank bottom for cracks or wear and that it is seats properly. Place a new cartridge of the same type back into the Purex Cf 67.5 Filter tank and secure the fittings.


5. Open the valves to the Purex Cf 67.5 Filter and allow the water to run into the pump if it is below the pool's water level, and restore power to the pump via the breaker box.


6. Start the pump while at a safe distance and wait until water exhausts from the air release valve. Close the valve to return the filter back into its normal running mode.
