These are Deck Mounted Commercial Back Stroke Stanchions 
of a standard height and length which runs generally parallel with an angle typical of pool steps. With proper anchor devices, it is suitable for use on stairs and slopes on poured concrete, shotcrete, fiberglass and vinyl Commercial pools, spas as well as for other applications in most geographic areas. In addition and with the proper anchor sockets and a secure mounting, this unit can be surface-mounted for light to moderate duty.

General Notes:
This 8-Foot Backstroke Stanchion is made of polished type 304 stainless steel and an eyebolt is attached to the top of the stanchion to affix pennants. When anchored properly, the Backstroke Stanchion stands 7’-6” (2.29m) above deck level.
Application:
The stanchion can be used to suspend backstroke flags over competition pools in most geographic areas.
Specifications:
1. Body: The body of the stanchion is made of 1.90” O.D. (48.3mm) type 304 polished stainless steel tube. The body is available in wall thicknesses of .065”, .109, or .145 (1.65mm, 2.77, or 3.68).
2. Eyebolt: (A stainless steel eyebolt is welded to an end cap, which is welded to the body. The eyebolt outer diameter is a nominal 2” (50.8mm) and the inner diameter is a nominal 1.25” (31.8mm). An additional stainless steel collar band with eyebolt and control knob can be ordered separately, for adjustable line heights (p/n 35-102).
3. Anchor Assembly (Optional): (p/n AS-100D, see spec sheet for SRS-916): The anchor socket is made of cast bronze and is 6” (152.4mm) deep, allowing for mounting without the use of a wedge assembly. The anchor is tapped for the provided 1/4-20 UNC brass grounding screw. Brass caps are provided to mount flush with the deck when the fixture is removed.
